Lynn Shattuck grew up in a Southeast Alaskan rainforest and is now a Maine-based writer. She’s a popular columnist at Elephant Journal, where she writes about grief, parenting and wellness, and a former columnist at Mom.com. Her essays have been featured in Al Jazeera, P.S. I Love You, The Fix, Vice, Fabric, Mind Body Green, Headspace, Scary Mommy, Brain, Child, Thought Catalog, Mamalode and Mommyish as well as in several anthologies.
Lynn has performed her work in Listen to Your Mother and at Word Portland, and recently began co-facilitating a resilience-boosting group. She earned her BA at Evergreen State College and holds a Master of Arts in Transformative Language Arts from Goddard College.
Lynn is currently working on a memoir about her brother’s death.
